As a full time college student, a lot of my money I do have or make goes into my education. Right now in my life that is the most important thing. I started this blog to let the world know that you don’t have to spend lots of money to look fabulous.
When I moved to college, I noticed that I was constantly being stared at. Sometimes it was in the dining hall, in class, or just on my walks around campus. I got looks and stares because to many people I was considered “over dressed”. I got compliments all the time and decided to make something out of it. I am unique and different because I choose not to wear sweats, yoga’s , hoodies, uggs, or running sneakers everyday to class.
Being a child with a single parent and other siblings meant that we never had the funds to afford expensive clothes. Mostly everything in my closet is something I have bought myself, so having a budget is very important. I don't believe in spending beyond your means to look cool. I believe in priorities and values and that is much more important than impressing others. I also believe that you should never allow what you don’t have to determine you, but rather try to use what you do have to be who you want to be. My message with this blog is that you don’t have to be rich or have lots of money to look great. Fashion is beyond brands and prices. It is an opportunity to express yourself, to be you, and to look beyond Original!
